Leadership Coaching TipFor anyone who notices, this issue of Integral Leadership Review is a bit late. We had intended a special issue on German-speaking cultures and Integral Leadership. This has been delayed. I am assured by the guest editors that it will be forthcoming this year. Stay tuned.

Below I am asking for your support.

In this issue you will find a rich variety of material. There are three pieces that deal with the military. First, the interview with Sandra Martinez who has taught at the United States Army War College and the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, was part of House’s GLOBE study of leadership internationally, is an associate of Bill Torbert’s and is currently teaching in Honduras. This wide-ranging conversation is rich and well worth your time. In addition, Col. Susan R. Myers and Jeff Groh provide us with reflections on leader development in the U.S. Army. Also, our student paper for this issue, by Jeannie Carlisle Volckmann, “The Nonlinearity of Cultural Tradition,” Deals with Clausewitz’s On War.

Maureen Metcalf and Carl Fernyak’s article represents an integrally-informed case study and intervention in a family business. Dorothea Zimmer, a leader in Germany’s spiral dynamics community offers some reflections on the state of Europe. And there is a plethora of book reviews where I believe you will find considerable value. Of particular interest will be the Notes from the Field section with reports on the International Leadership Association Conference in Prague, Renaissance 2 in France, The integral University in Paris, the National Assembly in Iceland and the Integral Spirituality Conference in California. And more, including our regular columns by Alan Tonkin and Keith Bellamy, as well as the Leadership Cartoon.

As you know the costs for producing Integral Leadership Review continue. These are defrayed in part by sponsors, advertisers and those of you who offer gifts and membership in Friends of the Integral Leadership Review. Please show us your appreciation for the hard work of all associated with Integral Leadership Review by giving $10.00 or more. We are approaching 3000 subscribers in more than 30 countries. A small gift from each of you will help us defray our costs. Please take the couple of minutes required to show your support.

On a personal note, I continue to relish the work of bringing Integral Leadership Review to you. I have deep gratitude to the many authors and others who provide the material that has helped this publication continue to flourish. I hope you might be one of those individuals who can write about the integrally informed experiences, learning and work you are doing in the world. Let me know when you are ready. I would be happy to discuss your ideas with you.
